Technology Systems Field Technician

Position Summary

EJO Ventures is seeking dependable, safety-conscious Technology Field Technicians for an immediate project-based assignment in Nashville, Tennessee. Technicians will support the installation, assembly, placement, and maintenance of technology infrastructure and related equipment in active indoor and outdoor work environments.

The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, is comfortable using hand tools and working from personnel lifts, and can follow technical instructions while contributing effectively as part of a field installation team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, placement, assembly, and maintenance of technology equipment and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support the installation and organization of network-connected devices, equipment racks, cabling, mounting hardware, and related components.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly.
  • Work from ladders and approved personnel lifts, following all required fall-protection and safety procedures.
  • Lift, carry, position, and secure materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow drawings, installation instructions, equipment labels, work plans, and directions from the site supervisor.
  • Maintain organized work areas and protect customer facilities, equipment, and surrounding finishes.
  • Assist with material receiving, inventory, staging, transportation, and cleanup.
  • Document completed work and promptly report installation issues, damaged materials, safety concerns, or site conflicts.
  • Follow EJO Ventures’ quality-control requirements, customer procedures, and all applicable jobsite safety rules.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and customer representatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, structured cabling, network-connected devices, or technology installation.
  • Experience using common hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to work from ladders and personnel lifts.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and perform physical installation work for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Dependable transportation and the ability to report to the assigned Nashville project site on time.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in IT installation, low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, digital signage, construction, electrical support, or field service.
  • Familiarity with equipment racks, network cabling, cable pathways, displays, media players, or related technology hardware.
  • Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other aerial-work platforms.
  • OSHA 10, lift certification, or other relevant safety training.
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings, cable schedules, or technical installation diagrams.

Work Environment

This position requires physical work in active indoor and outdoor project environments. Technicians may be exposed to changing temperatures, noise, dust, construction activity, elevated work areas, and other normal jobsite conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required.

Compensation and Assignment Terms

The starting wage is $27.00 per hour. The current assignment is expected to provide approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for an estimated duration of four to eight weeks. Project duration and weekly hours are estimates and may change based on customer requirements, site conditions, project progress, and scheduling needs.

This is a temporary, project-based position. Completion of the current assignment does not guarantee continued employment or placement on future projects; however, technicians who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, safety awareness, and teamwork may be considered for additional EJO Ventures assignments.

Compensation
